Applewood Sponsors Virtual Furry Scurry

Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric  will again sponsor the Dumb Friends League Furry Scurry. Only this year with a twist, in light of recent events the

The annual event raises funds to help end pet homelessness and fund support for the animals in the care of the Dumb Friends League. This year, the event will be held online so pet lovers can still show their support by walking in their own neighborhoods. Rather than a one-day event, the online event will begin on Saturday, May 2, 2020 and continue through June 2, 2020.

This year, Applewood will offer a special $50 off coupon to Furry Scurry participants who will take to their local neighborhoods to walk their dog on Furry Scurry day. Through an online map, the participants will be able to virtually interact with sponsors as if they were at the event. Walkers are being encouraged to interact with each other on social media using #furryscurry2020.

The Dumb Friends League has made an impact on pets of all ages who have been affected by health, injuries, abuse, neglect, or behavioral issues. They provide comfort and safety at their shelters and get pets ready for a new forever home.
