Denver’s Applewood Plumbing Adds a New Twist to its Monthly Caring Community Giveaway

Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric continues to bolster its relationship with the Denver metropolitan community by adding another $1,000 to its Caring Community Giveaway

Our Lady Help

In less than a decade, Applewood has donated more than $95,000 in giveaways to charities and nonprofits in the Denver area. The company hosts giveaways monthly and shows no signs of slowing in its community outreach.

In April, for the first time Applewood allowed its 100+ employees a chance to nominate an additional nonprofit organization.

“We help people,” said John Ward, Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric president. “In addition to repairing broken pipes and furnaces, we are committed to serving the community that has embraced us.”

Christopher Olson, winner of the first employee edition of the Caring Community Giveaway, selected Our Lady Help of Christians Academy to receive the $1,000 donation. Olson is a parishioner at the Saint Isidore Roman Catholic Church and his daughter will attend the academy next year.

The academy, established in 1995, is in need of funds for playground equipment and other activities for its 122 students.

Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric has a 60 percent repeat customer ratio and has served over 150,000 people.

Charities and nonprofits are allowed an unlimited number of entries into the monthly giveaway and have the opportunity to win once per year. Previous winners of the Caring Community Giveaway include: the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, the Autism Society of Colorado, and the Outdoor Lab Foundation.
