“Invest in Kids” Chosen for Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric’s Caring Community Giveaway

Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric carries on their comment to uplift the community by granting a $5,000 reward to Invest in Kids, a local nonprofit supporting Colorado children, for their quarterly Caring Community Giveaway. The focus for last quarter’s giveaway was improving the livelihoods of children and families.

How We Chose

Applewood employees nominated three organizations dedicated to helping children of Colorado, then opened a voting opportunity to the community to choose which child-centered mission resonated with them most. Community members gravitated towards the work Invest in Kids does and chose them to receive the Giveaway.

“This company tradition means so much to us because it brings our employees and community together to help a deserving local charity achieve their goals and benefit Colorado for the greater good,” said Josh Ward, owner of Applewood.

About Invest in Kids

Invest in Kids aims to guarantee children in Colorado have “a strong start in life.” The organization has programs that have served more than 14,000 kids to make their success a reality. Through these programs, Invest in Kids wants to build better lives in a variety of aspects such as their mental health, personal relationships and education. By putting in the time and effort to support the youth of Colorado, Invest in Kids believes they can strengthen the community today and for the future.

“We decided to emphasize the improvement of children’s lives because we believe it will build a brighter future for everyone. I’m confident Invest in Kids will do just that with this Giveaway,” said Ward.

More than $350,000 has been given to nonprofits in the Denver-metro area through Applewood’s Caring Community Giveaway. Applewood is dedicated to philanthropic work and seek to be role models in the community who inspire others to give back.
