Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric: Top Workplace in Denver

For the 13th time, Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric is one of the Denver Post Top Workplaces. This award is a seal of success as it recognizes both the employees and the leadership working together for a thriving business.

Having a long set standard of customer service, ethical business practices and longevity in home repairs, they are looked to as a leader in their industry. In their more than 50 years of service, Applewood has made a name for themselves by performing the highest level of service without compromising quality.
With their mission, “to always do the right thing” by their customers, employees and the communities they serve, “we strive to complete every repair as if it were for a family member,” said Ward.
As the largest family-owned home repair company in Denver, Applewood has nearly 200 employees and over 100 service trucks on the road daily, which is attributed to their 60% repeat customer base and continued growth. Applewood operates 7 days a week, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. without any overtime charges. Along with this, their technicians receive regular training, and they proudly maintain a 96% on-time service record, having served more than 350,000 customers.
Applewood gives back to the community quarterly through their Caring Community Giveaway. A different theme is chosen for each quarter then the employees choose three local nonprofits for the community to decide who will win the $5,000 award. In other community programs, Applewood has partnered with local youth hockey programs, offered trade scholarships at Red Rocks Community College and participated in career panels at high schools.
