Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric supports the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys

Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys is the winner of the $1,000 Caring Community Giveaway from Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric.

The Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys (DMMDT) has been a part of the Denver community since 1981 drawing visitors in through fun exhibits and unique collections. The exhibits range from vintage Star Wars toys to artisan dollhouses and from antique dolls to well-loved toy soldiers. The museum staff utilizes the collection of over 20,000 objects to stage four major exhibit changes each year.

“This museum is such a wonderful and unique place, we’re thrilled to support what they are doing in the community,” said John Ward, Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric president.

The Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys mission is to provide educational and cultural services through the preservation, exhibition, collection and interpretation of the visual arts using miniatures, dolls and toys. DMMDT offers workshops and field trips for schools, day care centers, scout troops and families. The museum has also become a popular destination for birthday parties.

“The $1,000 from Applewood will help supplement our free admission program, as well as help us buy high-quality packing materials to preserve the collection during our move,” said Wendy Littlepage, Director, The Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys.
