Applewood to sponsor the 10th annual Frederick in Flight hot air balloon lift
Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric will be a sponsor of the 10th annual Fredrick in Flight hot air balloon lift from June 25-27 in Frederick, Colorado. More than 35 balloons will take flight during the three-day, family-friendly event.
“We’re excited to sponsor the Town of Frederick’s efforts to bring the community together through the hot air balloon lift,” said Josh Ward, owner of Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric. “Applewood recognizes the importance of connecting with fellow community members, especially after a tough year of social isolation.”
Each morning kicks off with professional skydivers who will make their jumps with Applewood streamers. The event peaks Saturday with flight-themed activities throughout the day. On Saturday night, there is a glow party from 5-9 p.m., and Applewood will have a booth during the party where draw string bags, sunscreen, sunglasses and a $50 off coupon will be given out.
Additionally, there will be balloons and flight-related items for sale, and food vendors each morning and during the glow party. The event is located at Centennial Park, 630 Eighth Street in Frederick.
“Giving back to the communities where we work is a meaningful part of our company and the work we do,” said Ward.
Applewood has had a long history of supporting the communities where they provide home repair services. The company maintained their community efforts throughout the pandemic. Other community-related activities include the Caring Community Giveaway that quarterly donates $5,000 to a local nonprofit organization, which is nominated by employees. They also sponsor the Dumb Friends League Furry Scurry, the Hudson Gardens Concert Series and Applewood House for families with extended illnesses.
